– Kiwi is one of the fruits that are poorly caloric. Indeed, a large kiwi piece weighing about 100 grams contains some 58 calories.
– Kiwi contains a significant volume of fibers, which makes it useful for facilitating intestinal transit and for helping in cases of mild constipation. It also contributes in providing us quickly with the sense of satiety.
– The vitamin C content in kiwi is twice the content we find in orange. In fact, one piece of kiwi will be enough to satisfy your daily needs of vitamin C. As such, it helps boost the immune system.
– Kiwi is rich in various minerals, mainly potassium, calcium, iron, and magnesium. In addition, it is a good source of vitamin E which is an effective antioxidant useful for the protection against cardiovascular disease.
– Finally, some people could suffer from oral allergy caused by kiwi!! Moreover, it is mandatory for people suffering from diverticulosis or colitis that they consult their doctor before any consumption of this fruit.
