Is it true that pistachios are low in proteins?

Absolutely not, this is not true. In fact, pistachios are a good source of proteins (about 20 g/100 g) and of dietary fibres. Thus, this food has the ability to provide you with a good sense of satiety and it helps you control your appetite.

– The nutritional benefits of pistachios are numerous. They are beneficial to the cardiovascular system because of their high content of unsaturated fatty acids and phytosterols.
– Also, and in addition to their richness in vitamins B1 and B6, potassium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, manganese and copper, pistachios have a high antioxidant effect.
– Whenever you feel like having a little something, during the afternoon for example, it’s fine that you take a handful of this food (about 30 pieces) provided that this is not prohibited for health reasons. And if you are suffering from an excess weight problem, you may replace one tablespoon of oil with such a quantity, 2 or 3 times a week.

Finally, always remember to opt for raw or grilled and unsalted pistachios. It is also best to buy pistachios in their shell which protects them from various damages.
